We did it, the three largets mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours including driving. We had 21 minutes and 51 seconds to spare although we could have run the flat section of the miners track and got nearer 23 easily but there seemed little point as the target was sub 24 hrs. Considering our van was restricted to 62 mph as well we did very well.

Times for the experience were:

Ben Nevis - 4.5 hours

drive to the Lakes - 6 hours (approx)

Scafell pike - 3.5 hours

drive to Snowdonia - 6 hours (approx)

Snowdon - 3.5 hours

Total raised - £1700 at least for the alzheimers society

Total sleep achieved - bugger all

Losses - comfort, general sanity and a rather dodgy overpriced watch

Mini bus kindly provided by Cheltenham College - many many thanks for that

Well done everyone involved and thanks for all the sponsorship and support :-)

the Magnificent 7 are -

Roger - mountain guide, optimist and pace setter

Elliott - Rally driver, in flight entertainment, cook and purloyner of fine jewelry

John - drivers handler, voice of reason and second (smoother) pilot

Den - down hill skier and acrobatic rock hopper

Kim - back seat babe and fastest female yomper

James - lead position charger, best expedition beard

Colin - tail end charlie and general sweat fountain

an incredible team, an incredible experience ...... we will return :-)
